“All you need is Ecuador” is a creative campaign that promotes tourism in Ecuador. It was just launch on April 1st 2014 in 19 different cities around the world. For this campaign the ministry of tourism bought the licence of the well known song ” All we need is love” from The Beatles. With this melody and lyrics, an excellent and convincing video was made about the beautifulness of Ecuador, showing some of the best places this country has to offer.
The way this campaign was launch and created is a complicated but really creative way to promote Ecuador. On April 1st, the 19 different cities saw appear letters 6 feet high installed in squares, parks and landmarks. But here is the thing, just one letter appear in each city! Why? You’ll see.
A appeared outside of the du Gare Lyon station in Paris – France.
L appeared in Morumbi Shopping in Sao Paulo – Brazil.
L was inside the Atocha station Madrid – Spain.
Y was in the park El Virrey Bogota – Colombia.
O in the Gasenvoort Plaza of New York – USA.
U appeared in the Boulevard of the park Aruco Santiago – Chile.
N was in the Sonny Center of Berlin – Alemania.
E in the Victoria Station of London – England.
E appeared in the Salazar Larcomar park Lima – Peru.
D appeared in the National Auditorium of Mexico City – Mexico.
I in the Shiphol airport of Amsterdam – Holanda.
S in Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires – Argentina.
E was located in Otorongo Plaza in Cuenca – Ecuador.
C in the Murcielago beach of Manta – Ecuador.
U was in San Sebastian Square in Loja – Ecuador.
A in the IMAX esplanade in Guayaquil – Ecuador.
D in Misahuallí in Tena – Ecuador.
O appeared in the Santa Cruz Pier in Galapagos – Ecuador.
R, the last letter, was in the United Nations Boulevard in the capital of Ecuador, Quito.
