The Hotel

The Sol y Mar Hotel is located in the tourist center of Puerto Ayora, on Charles Darwin Avenue and in front of Pelican Bay (Santa Cruz Island). A few steps from tourist attractions, restaurants and local craft shops.

It has beautiful social areas with direct access to the sea, so that our guests enjoy the nature of Galapagos. It has 2 towers (the Main Tower-the Isla Sol Tower) and 31 rooms.

The Main Tower facing the sea has 17 comfortable rooms with television, cable, air conditioning, telephone, safe, bathroom and private balcony that allow you to enjoy a spectacular view of the sea and first-class facilities (pool, jacuzzi, restaurant and bar).

In 2011 the Isla Sol Tower was inaugurated with 14 spacious rooms (6 with exterior view - 8 with interior view) designed and decorated with avant-garde style. Isla Sol is located across the Charles Darwin Avenue in front of the Main Tower and has modern lounges ideal for all kinds of social and corporate events that take place in Puerto Ayora.

Day 1. - Transfer in + Highlands of Santa Cruz + Charles Darwin Station. (-/L/D)
Day 2. - Day tour to one of the following islands: Bartolome /Santa Fe /Seymour Norte + Bachas /Plazas + Punta Carrion*. (B/L/D)
Day 3. - Day tour to one of the following islands: Bartolome /Santa Fe /Seymour Norte + Bachas /Plazas + Punta Carrion* or Bay Tour + Tortuga Bay. (B/L/D)
Day 4. – Transfer out. (B/-/-)

*The visits to the islands are subject to change due to climate, logistical and safety reasons, or decisions of the Galapagos National Park.

Children and Infants:

  • Sol y Mar Hotel offers complementary accommodation (free) for infants under 2 years 11 months.
  • In the Main Tower with Sea View and in the Isla Sol tower of the Sol y Mar Hotel, it offers accommodation for children up to 11 years 11 months with a special rate and includes the respective buffet breakfasts, as long as they share the room with 2 adults.
  • In the rooms with Sea View, the hotel recommends no more than 1 child and 2 adults per room for space and comfort.
  • In the Isla Sol tower (rooms with Exterior View and Interior View), maximum 2 or 3 children are allowed sharing with 2 adults in 1 room (subject to availability).
  • The hotel offers a complementary crib for infants, subject to availability.
  • If required, customers are required to provide the documents that support the age of children or infants.
